Jessica Lamb

Jessica is 16 years old and is a Northumbrian Piper and folk singer. She has been attending the Sage Gateshead Weekend School since she was 9, being taught by amazing folk musicians like

Kathryn Tickell and Kat Davidson.

Jessica used to enter competitions and won the open piping competition at Rothbury three years running, but recently she has been concentrating on writing her own piping tunes, playing gigs and festivals. Jessica also plays the guitar and sings. She would describe her style as folk with a touch of country and western. Kate Rusby meets Taylor Swift perhaps!

Jessica plays in two fabulous ensembles, the Northumbrian Ranters and Folkestra and has toured America and played at the Bowes museum and Bamburgh Castle. Jessica can be regularly heard at the Hexham Gathering, Rothbury Folk Festival and the Bellingham all acoustic festival.
